The Art Of Selecting Youth Motivational Speakers

By Juliette Cruz

The attention is not on the high tech types that the youth mount in their cars. These create vibrations that can rival an industrial jackhammer. The attention is not on the types which are used at huge stadium concerts. These can transcend the realm of sound and move into the vast expanse of audio craziness. These are another form of youth motivational speakers that is being focused on.

These types need to be as powerful and sharp as those in cars. They should be felt down in the spirit as those at loud concerts. They do not have to be as loud, however. They do need to snatch attention, have clarity, and inspire listeners to turn up their attention volume.

Speaking to young people, especially in today's times, can be a difficult task. They have been groomed and know their opinions do matter. From the types of video games created to television programming, it is a marketing acceptance that the voice of the young age bracket carries collective weight. A presenter can not stand up in front of the youth and arrogantly show them their faults while being demanding of them. This approach would be a sure turnoff. They can neither try to force feelings of shame using lines like milked the cows, fed the chickens, and then walked ten miles to school.

Good motivational speakers will try to connect with listeners by sharing that there are differences, and this is o. K. They will share experiences of also feeling and being treated differently when they were younger.

They should be very aware of the interests of the group. There is quality information available about the younger generation. Being familiar with this is a wise decision. It shares background information on the landscape which helped shape the generations. If one was born during the great depression years, for example, they would have a totally different perspective than those born with a personal computer in their homes. Diversity information help to create a better understanding and helps temper the speaking content.

To show vulnerabilities is acceptable. To share a story of how one failed and then explain how they overcame should be considered. It will let the audience feel that the speaker is genuine and not trying to come off as if they naturally have all the answers. It will allow them to relax and consider the rest of the speech.

A speaker should use real facts. Any facts that seem out of the ordinary should be referenced. Presenters do not want to be found sensationalizing or using false information. This would definitely mean a sharp end to the exchange.

Good presenters will be passionate. This will be a true passion which can be felt. The will be a command of the topic. This combination will inspire the audience to a point where they will be attentive to every word that is spoken.

Care should be taken to confirm the speech length is not too long. It should stop at the height of interest. To go beyond this level would risk turning off the audience. Youth motivational speakers could be trained. Often the more successful ones are born with this ability.
