Daily Bible Verse: Here's Why We Seek After Experience

By Pablo Perez

"I'm leaving for Kenya, Africa... in two hours"

My spouse could not imagine my words and actually thatTuesday a . m . I was not contemplating in going overseas at all. Egypt and Mexico felt enough for the month (so I was thinking). However around eleven o'clock, as I was reading through a book, drinking my second late and vividly picturing the unwinding days and nights onward, a thunderous email arrived and shattered the morning in 2:

Could you travel to Kenya tomorrow?

The message originated from Jono Hall, director of the Forerunner Media Shool at the International House of Prayer of Kansas City. Graeme Spencer (head of production for God TV) joined the dialogue from Washington DC and asked me if I could lead worship in Kenya, on Thursday. After a few seconds of overwhelming contemplating, I concluded enjoying my flavored coffee and wrote a tentative yes.

After eating launch, I took the airplane boarding pass from my iphone and boarded flights for Chicago and Heathrow (London) where I joined the worn out yet warm and friendly God TV crew. We had a snack and entered British Airlines flight 879 for Nairobi, Kenya. It turned out to be Wednesday nighttime, once i finally got to The continent of africa.

Having solely three hours of sleep, I jumped in a tiny rental bus heading for 'mountain base'. This original ride delivered fortyfive minutes of safari driving incorporating good old British talk (try that when you have jet lag).

Reaching the top of the hills the early morning felt intoxicating: the fresh aroma in the wild, the sun-drenched colors all over it seemed like nature dancing. Backstage, a corn country field transition into stunning mountain tops that ended on white blue skies. It was amazing; creation at his finest (with a heavenly touch) the Watoto children choir of Uganda dancing on the complete stage.

For almost six extended hours we worshiped and transmitted unrehearsed (live TV) to more than 100 nations. Definitely wearing, but totally memorable!

At sunset, most of us left mountain base and drove to the hotel (via outrageous difficult highways you haven't noticed in the most famous african movies). Hours later, I kissed Africa so long, switched a couple of airplanes in Europe making it it back to Kansas City, on Friday (for dinner).

Now, that's what I label "ministry on steroids"a exhilarating kingdom adventure, the adrenaline rush of traversing continents in twenty-four hours, feeling the nearness of God's presence on your heart, along with the fantastic kick of an remarkable experience.

Discovering the Mystery of an Captivating Word

The paragraph above includes a gripping and fascinating word. To get perfectly sincere, I shared my trip to Kenya to spotlight the need for that word. I guarantee: knowing the word can help you decipher the cravings of the soul and get the reason for much of your triumph and failures.

Imagine yourself inside a place in which magnificence, unforgettable journeys and exhilarating adventures transpire every day. Envision a reality in which dullness is faded and fascination is the predominant emotion of the soul.

Suppose you may try a perpetual story, in a community in which romance and eternity constantly take your oxygen away?

Here is something few people fully understand: deep inside our hearts we long and yearn for experience. All folks want to "experience". It is definitely not "things", "status" and "success" we desire, it is the experience those ideas offer we are after, how they make us feel within.

I have substantially more to say regarding this matter, but this article is already long... don't worry... we'll meet again.
